The Bangladesh Television (BTV) building gate was vandalized and its reception area along with several vehicles were set on fire by protesters demanding quota reform.
Around 3:30 PM on Thursday, a group of agitating students blocked the Rampura Bridge and forcefully broke into the BTV premises, causing significant damage and setting parts of the office on fire.
Earlier in the day, protesters had been involved in vandalism and arson at various locations across the capital, leading to multiple confrontations with the police.
