Three people have been beaten to death on suspicion of stealing cattle in Tularampur of Narail sadar upazila.
The incident took place on Tuesday (October 29) night, said Md Sajedul Islam, officer-in-charge (OC) of Narail Sadar Police Station.
The deceased were identified as Dulal and Nurnobi. Both residents of Shibganj in Bogura.
According to police and local sources, four thieves raided the house of Hannan Molla on Tuesday night. At that time, Hannan Molla shouted for help after noticing their presence. Three people were killed and one escaped after the locals chased them and beat them.
The OC said that police visited the spot. Legal action is being taken in this regard.
