Law enforcers primarily think that the fire originated in the oven in the kitchen of the tin-shed house in Mahajanpara area of Parua union's ward-3, the official said.
The kitchen was adjacent to the only entrance of the house, locals said, adding that the family could not get out as the fire had engulfed the entrance.
Fire service sources said they got the news around 2:10am. The fire was brought under control with the help of five firefighting units, members of the police and locals around 4:00am.
