Time Entertainment Desk: Bangladeshi renowned actor Chanchal Chowdhury has been confirmed for playing the role of Mrinal Sen in the great director's biopic.

The film was directed by Srijit Mukherji, it will star Monami Ghosh opposite him.

Mrinal Sen was a pioneer in his craft, coincidentally also giving Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan one of his first 'film work', in the form of a voiceover in his 1969 film "Bhuvan Shome".

After the poster of the biopic, titled "Padatik", was revealed, 'Big B' was one of the first to share it, and send his good wishes to the actor and the team.

The two had also met on the stage of the Kolkata International Film Festival.

Is Chanchal Chowdhury turning out to be Bangladesh's biggest star? His recent body of work certainly indicates towards that.
