Arrest warrant issued against Rizvi, Ishraque

Time Digital Report: A Dhaka tribunal court today issued arrest warrants against BNP's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed, for vandalising garbage vehicles and the party executive committee member Ishraque Hossain in separate cases.

Dhaka Metropolitan Additional Chief Tofazzal Hossain issued the arrest warrant against him.

Bench assistant of the court Atiqur Rahman informed the matter on Monday (December 5).

He said, December 1 was scheduled for the hearing of the complaint. On this day, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir along with three people appeared in the court.

However, Rizavi and other three did not appear in the court. Because of this, the judge canceled their bail and issued an arrest warrant. March 29 is scheduled for hearing the charge sheet.

In the case said that city Corporation's garbage trucks were passing through Iskaton on Mintu Road towards Matuail as part of daily work on September 12, 2012.

On the way, 200/250 people led by Mirza Fakhrul and Rizvi vandalized the vehicle with sticks at Kakrail Vijay Nagar.

In this incident, the driver Aynal filed a case at Paltan police station as the plaintiff. After the investigation, in 2017, the police filed a charge sheet against nine people including Mirza Fakhrul.
