Bangladesh vs India: Mehidy Hasan’s century powers hosts to 271

Time Sports Desk: Mehidy Hasan Miraz's maiden one-day international ton powered Bangladesh to a challenging 271-7 against India in the second of the three-match ODI series at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Wednesday.

Mehidy remained unbeaten on 100 off 83 balls, hitting eight fours and four sixes.

Earlier Mehidy shared a crucial 148-run partnership in the seventh wicket stand with Mahmudullah, who made a 96-ball 77, to rescue Bangladesh from 69-6.

This was their second highest partnership in seventh wicket stand and also the highest against India at any wicket stand.

In the tail, off-spinner Nasum Ahmed smacked a quickfire 11-ball 18 to bolster the hosts total.

Washington Sundar was the pick among the India bowlers scalping 3-73 while Mohammad Siraj and Umran Malik took two wickets each.
