Time News Desk: Chapainawabganj Forum arranged an iftar and Doa Mahfil at an auditorium in the capital on Thursday. About 200 people of various professions including students of the district residing in Dhaka attended the program, says a press release.
Nurul Islam Bulbul, former VP of Chapainawabganj Government College and eminent social worker presided over the program while former Vice Chancellor of Manarat International University Dr. M Umar Ali was present as the chief guest
Engineer Shamsul Islam Zahir, Mahfuz Alam, Secretary of Hazaribagh Society, Advocate Ibrahim Khalil, Advocate Maruful Islam, Hafez Abdul Alim, President of Chapainawabganj Students Forum, Shahidul Islam Sohail, Abu Bakor , Hafez Nurul Awal were also present at the Iftar mahfil. Advocate Delwar Hossain, General Secretary of the forum conducted the function.
Dr. M Umar Ali said, “Chapainawabganj has its own regional language and culture. It’s practice needs to be increased. In the month of ramadan, we should build our life according to the Qur'an.”
Nurul Islam Bulbul said, “Ramadan is the month of endless blessings. In this month, one should make maximum efforts to attain the pleasure of Allah through fear of the almighty. This is the month of Quran revelation, it is necessary to increase the practice of this holy book and build a society according to it. He calls for utilizing Ramadan’s education for the remaining of 11 months.
“Chapainawabganj is the district of backward people as they did not receive equal allocation from the national budget till date. The people of this area are deprived of their due rights despite having immense opportunities. We especially the students and youths have be united for the development of Chapainawabganj. We have to stand unitedly for all. We have to build a prosperous educated society by promoting poor and meritorious students. It is utmost efforts needed to build a beautiful society with moral values,” he said.
He called upon not to show the partisan behavior to providing the service of all walks of people.
