Time Digital News: The authority has fixed the fare for the country's first metro rail service Tk 100 maximum and Tk 20 minimum.

The per km fare would be Tk 5 for the 20km metro rail from Uttara to Motijheel.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today (September 6, 2022) revealed the fare after inaugurating the metro rail exhibition and information centre at its depot at Uttara.

Obaidul Quader said, 'Freedom fighters can travel by metro rail for free. Passengers using weekly, monthly, family card will be given special discount.

He added that 'how much fare will be charged from the students has not been decided yet'.
