Time News Desk:In the second phase of Biswa Ijtema, three more devotees died after becoming unconsciousness or by heart attack at the Ijtema venue in Tongi between last night and this morning.

So far, four devotees have died at the Ijtema venue in the second phase, reports our Gazipur correspondent quoting Mohammad Sayem, media coordinator of the second phase of Ijtema.

The deceased were identified as Abdul Hamid Mandal, 55; Abdul Hannan, 45; and Borhan Uddin, 48; Sayem said.

Earlier yesterday, a 75-year-old devotee Mofizul Islam died at the Ijtema venue due to old-age complications.

The second phase of the three-day Ijtema began on the banks of the Turag in Tongi yesterday.

The three-day Biswa Ijtema will end on January 22 with Akheri Munajat (final prayers).
