Jamaat Dhaka City South ameer meets relatives of Chowkbazar fire victims

Time News Desk: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Dhaka City South ameer Nurul Islam Bulbul met the relatives of those who died in the building fire housing restaurant and a plastic toy warehouse in Old Dhaka’s Chawkbazar area.

At least six people were burnt to death in the fire incident on Monday afternoon.

Nurul Islam Bulbul, who is also member of the party Central Executive Council ,rushed to Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital Tuesday night to meet the relatives of those who died in the fire.

He also expressed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families and to assist in the transportation and burial of the bodies.

City Assistant Secretary Muha. Delwar Hossain, Chowkbazar Thana Ameer Anisur Rahman, Paltan North Thana Ameer Shaheen Ahmad Khan along with different Jamaat leaders and activists of Chowkbazar Thana, among others, were present at that time.

Meanwhile, Nurul Islam Bulbul said that due to the failure of the government and the overall mismanagement of the concerned authorities, different devastating accidents like fire are happening again and again in the country.

Even the plastic factory building that got burnt in the Chawkbazar fire had a lot of defects in the approval process and construction, he said.

“ May Allah bless and help the victims’ families to overcome this situation”, he said.

Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has always stood by the country's vulnerable people and will continue to do so in the future by the grace of Allah, the city ameer said.

In the past, Jamaat has stood by the people in various calamities of the country, which the people of the country have witnessed, he continued.

Even today, Jamaat has made arrangements for free transportation of corpses by ambulances services to reach the coffins of those who died in the fire in this Sir Salimullah Medical College and Hospital to their respective family members, he added.

The volunteers of Jamaat-e-Islami were working tirelessly to help the victims in the fire, he mentioned.

Jamaat's efforts will continue to trace the affected families and give them full support, he said.
