Khaleda Zia’s appearance in 11 cases May 15

Time Digital Report: A Dhaka court today has set May 15 to hold hearing on charge framing in 11 cases against Bangladesh nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia.

Judge Md Asaduzzaman of Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Judge's Court, set up inside the Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj, today adjourned the hearing and fixed the new date, Additional Public Prosecutor Tapash Kumar Pal told.

The adjournment came following separate petitions submitted by defence citing different reasons.

Among the 11 cases, 10 were filed in the first three months of 2015 over arson attacks.

The other case was filed with a Dhaka court on charge of making seditious comments on freedom fighters and martyrs of the Liberation War.

Khaleda Zia, who is out of jail following an executive order from the government, is now unwell and staying at her Gulshan residence.
