Time Digital Report: BNP leaders Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Mirza Abbas has been rejected the bail petitions for the third tiome.
Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain rejected their bail petition, the third in a week, at a hearing on Thursday.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain passed the order after their lawyers moved the petitions on the grounds that the complainant did not include Fakhrul and Abbas' names in the first information report.
The two submitted the bail petitions on Wednesday. Another Dhaka court rejected their bail petitions ]on December 12. The case was filed with Paltan Model Police Station on December 8.
The clash broke out in front of the party's Nayapaltan office on December 7. It left one person dead and scores of others injured.
Meanwhile, BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was shown arrested in four other cases filed with Shahbagh Police Station in which arrest warrants were earlier issued.
Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Tofazzal Hossain passed the order after the prosecution submitted four petitions in this regard.
Rizvi was arrested from the BNP's Nayapaltan office on November 7 in a case filed over the clashes with policemen.
