President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of the former president and former Chief Justice Shahabuddin Ahmed.

In separate condolence messages, the president and the prime minister prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.

Justice Shahabuddin passed away at the Dhaka Combined Military Hospital (CMH) this morning at the age of 92.
