Time Digital Report: After getting an invitation from the chief election commissioner to a views-exchange meeting over the next general polls, the BNP said such talks are meaningless.

Party's Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir told The Daily Star, "Talks with Election Commission are meaningless. We opposed the formation of this Election Commission. So we don't think there is any necessity to hold talks with the commission."

Earlier in the evening, Chief Election Commissioner Kazi Habibul Awal through a letter invited the BNP to a view-exchange meeting to discuss the next national election, among other issues.
