The Commission submitted its report to Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus at the State Guest House Jamuna on Monday.

The report recommends updating the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 to reflect modern standards of workplace safety.

Key recommendations include modernising the definition and provision of occupational health and safety, identifying high-risk jobs, ensuring safety and risk allowances, forming workplace safety committees, and appointing trained safety officers.

The proposed reforms aim at protecting the health, safety, and overall well-being of workers across all sectors.
