Salman F Rahman, Anisul Huq arrested in Dhaka

Former prime minister Sheikh Hasina's adviser Salman F Rahman and former law minister Anisul Huq have been arrested.
It has been reported that the police held them in connection with a New Market police station case while they were attempting to flee by waterway from the Sadarghat area of the capital on Tuesday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Media and Public Relations Division's Deputy Commissioner Md Faruq Hossain confirmed.
According to police sources, during the quota reform movement, two people were killed in a clash in front of Dhaka College on July 16.
Two murder cases were filed at New Market police station in connection with this incident. Salman and Anisul have been shown arrested as instigators of the murders.
Salman F Rahman was elected as a MP from the Dhaka-1 (Dohar-Nawabganj) constituency in the 12th National Elections. He is one of the country's leading businessmen.
Anisul Huq, on the other hand, has been elected as a MP from the Brahmanbaria-4 (Kasba) constituency under the Awami League since 2014. He has held the position of law minister since his first election.
