Decision taken by medical board
BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who was shifted to the Coronary Care Unit (CCU) at the Evercare Hospital in Dhaka last night, has been moved to a cabin.
She was shifted to a cabin on Monday morning, said BNP chairperson's medical board member Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain.
Earlier, at around 1:30am on Monday, Khaleda Zia was shifted to the hospital’s CCU as her health condition deteriorated.
Khaleda Zia's personal physicians reported a worsening of her health condition, with the added complication of liver cirrhosis last week.
Her angiogram was done in June last year and three blocks were found in her heart. A ring was placed on one of them.
Khaleda Zia's medical board has said she was suffering from arthritis, diabetes, kidney, liver, and heart disease. Along with bleeding in her digestive system, she also suffers from liver cirrhosis.
