Intercity train services across Bangladesh will resume on Thursday, following a 27-day suspension.
This announcement was made by Mohammad Nahid Hasan Khan, director of Public Relations at Bangladesh Railways, in a text message on Sunday afternoon.
According to the message, freight trains will restart on Monday, while mail, express, local, and commuter trains will begin operations on Tuesday.
Intercity trains will commence service on Thursday.
Tickets for intercity trains will be available for purchase starting at 5pm on Monday.
However, the Parabat and Jamalpur Express trains will remain temporarily suspended.
Train services had been halted since July 18 due to disruptions caused by the quota reform movement.
The suspension was further enforced after the government imposed a curfew on July 19.
Limited commuter train services were briefly operational from August 1 to August 3.
