Discuss ways of possible collaboration in pharmaceutical, IT sectors
Bangladesh and Ghana have underscored the need for adopting aggressive Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) by developed countries and materializing the commitment of allocating $100 billion annually.
Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen met his Ghanaian counterpart, Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey, in Accra, Ghana, on Tuesday and discussed the issue.
Ghana and Bangladesh are among the Troika leaders of the Climate Vulnerable Forum as the current and immediate past chairs, respectively, of the organization.
Both foreign ministers agreed to share experience and expertise in the agriculture sector for mutual benefit and also discussed ways of possible collaboration in the pharmaceutical and IT sectors, among others, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Momen is leading a high-level Bangladesh delegation at the UN Peacekeeping Ministerial meeting being held in Accra, Ghana.
He spoke as a panellist at an event on improving environmental management in peacekeeping co-hosted by the UN and the US.
Momen is scheduled to return home on Thursday.
