A case has been filed against 156 people, including S Alam Group Chairman Mohammad Saiful Alam, his sons Ahsanul Alam and Ashraful Alam, and former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, in connection with the murder of garment worker Md Rubel during recent student protests in Dhaka.
Rafiqul Islam, the victim's father, filed the complaint with Adabor police station on Thursday, as confirmed by Inspector Mintu Chandra Banik.
The case also includes around 500 unnamed individuals.
According to the case, Rubel was shot on August 5 while participating in a procession on Ring Road in Adabor, following direct and indirect orders from the accused.
He was rushed to the hospital with gunshot wounds to his chest and stomach and died on August 7.
