Apart from observing strikes and blockade, the opposition BNP has planned to hold different programs to mount pressure on the government demanding resignation ahead of upcoming 12th national parliamentary polls.
The party is preparing to hold a rally in Dhaka on December 10 on the occasion of Human Rights Day.
It has been proposed to include family members of the people in the program who have been victims of forced disappearance, murder, jail sentence, imprisonment and harassment, according to party sources.
Discussions are scheduled with like-minded parties and alliance leaders this week.
Besides, in the ongoing movement to establish democracy and voting rights, a total of 60 parties, registered and unregistered, with the Election Commission are boycotting the 12th national polls, said BNP.
Thanking these parties on behalf of BNP, the responsible leaders have started communication with them to speed up the ongoing movement.
The ruling Bangladesh Awami League is set to hold a rally on December 10 to mark Human Rights Day.
The rally, under the banner of Dhaka Metropolitan South Awami League, will be held at the south gate of the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at around 3pm.
