Bank accounts of Nasrul Hamid, Biplab Kumar frozen

The Bangladesh bank has frozen the bank accounts of former state minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid and his family members.
At the same time, the bank account transactions of his owned businesses have also been suspended.
A letter regarding this has been sent to all banks on Tuesday.
The Bangladesh Financial Intelligence Unit (BFIU) directed banks to provide all details, including transactions in the accounts, within five working days.
In another instruction, the BFIU odered banks to lock the accounts of Biplab Kumar Sarkar, joint commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, for 30 days.
The BFIU asked banks to provide transactions and other details of Biplab too.
The accounts of his wife were also frozen.
