Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud is now visiting India
India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina during his visit to Dhaka from February 3-5.
Foreign ministry’s spokesperson Seheli Sabrin disclosed this on Thursday while replying to a question at the regular weekly briefing.
This was the first official disclosure of the visit.
Earlier, Indian media reported that Ajit Doval made a quiet visit to Dhaka last weekend and met the prime minister and other senior officials to discuss issues of strategic significance.
Foreign Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud is now visiting India, his first bilateral tour to any country after assuming the office on January 11.
