Fakhrul: Informed DMP of Oct 28 rally, did not seek permission

Awami League will not be able to stop this movement
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said that they did not seek permission for the rally on October 28, they only informed Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
“Awami League will not be able to stop this movement by intimidation, arrest, or any kind of obstruction. People will protest and snatch victory,” he said at a press conference at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office on Tuesday.
Referring to the Awami League, Mirza Fakhrul said they always came to power by force. “Even if they talk about fair elections, they want to establish a reign of terror and hold one-sided elections so that people do not turn to the polling stations.”
The BNP senior leader also strongly criticized the bill introduced in parliament giving the power to Bangladesh Ansar to arrest and operate search."Ansar is not really a trained force.”
According to media reports, on Saturday, the BNP sent a letter to the DMP commissioner, seeking permission to hold a mega rally in front of the party's Naya Paltan office on October 28.
The request was made in a letter signed by BNP's Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
BNP announced a mega rally for October 28 to press home its one-point demand to topple the government.
