Chief adviser's Press Secretary, Shafiqul Alam, said that to maintain a conducive environment for university operations, Chhatra League should not be allowed to return.
He emphasized the need to keep campuses free from terrorism and promote healthy activities.
He made these remarks on Saturday during a seminar titled "We Want a Safe Bangladesh," held at the National Press Club.
During the seminar, he presented an article based on research that highlighted Chhatra League's violent activities on university campuses over the past 12 years.
This research, he explained, justifies why Chhatra League was banned and illustrates the extent of extremism they exhibited on campuses.
He emphasized that if the state is to be reformed, terrorism in educational institutions must be eliminated.
Shafiqul Alam further said that Chhatra League had created an unsafe environment throughout the country, including educational institutions, through its terrorist activities, which is why the organization was banned.
He concluded by saying that a conducive environment must be established to ensure that Chhatra League does not emerge again.
He called on students, school administrators, and teachers to take an active role in this effort, underscoring the importance of collective action to build a safe and orderly nation.
