New digital competition engages youth nationwide to innovate menstrual health solutions

Youth Worldwide Foundation, a non-profit social organization in Chittagong, has been conducting menstrual health management activities since 2015. This initiative includes menstrual health workshops, walk marathons, cycling rallies, and futsal competitions for women.

This year, in collaboration with SafePad Bangladesh, the organization continues to host workshops at various schools, colleges, universities, factories, women’s shelters, and parlours across the city. Through these workshops, the organization’s youth wing, Youth’s Voice, works to raise awareness among women about menstrual health and to ensure a healthy lifestyle

This year’s program includes a new addition: a digital competition for young men and women. This competition aims to provide youth nationwide with an opportunity to present innovative ideas on the topic. The digital competition will serve as a platform to unite the youth and bring about positive changes in society regarding menstrual health management.

Youth Worldwide Foundation and its youth organization, Youth’s Voice, strive to highlight important issues of women’s health through such programs. These initiatives play a crucial role in ensuring safe and hygienic menstrual management for women and improving their overall mental and physical health.

Participants in the workshops receive information and advice on menstrual health and have the opportunity to share their experiences. This helps eliminate hesitations and misconceptions among women.

A spokesperson for Youth Worldwide Foundation said: “We hope that through this program, women will be able to bring about a positive change in society by becoming aware of their menstrual health. Youth Worldwide Foundation will continue such programs and undertake new developmental initiatives for society in the future.”
