Four people have been killed and another 10 injured in a road accident in Tangail’s Kalihati Upazila.
The accident took place on Dhaka-Tangail Highway’s Mymensingh-link road area around 1:00am on Friday (Oct 4), said Mohammad Nannu Khan, officer-in-charge (OC) of Elenga Highway Police Station.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
He said that a Mymensingh-bound bus from Dhaka collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction, leaving four people dead on the spot.
The injured were admitted to Tangail General Hospital.
Meanwhile, the accident caused a 10-km tailback on the Dhaka-Tangail highway from Elenga to Salla.
