Court bans battery-run rickshaws in Dhaka

The High Court has banned battery-powered rickshaws from the Dhaka metropolitan area.
Justice Fatema Najib and Justice Sikder Mahmudur Razi's bench passed the order on Tuesday (November 19).
The bench said this ban has to be implemented by the next three days.
More than one million battery-driven rickshaws are operating nationwide, with the number in Dhaka growing rapidly each day.
