There is no shortage anywhere, State Minister Md Mohibbur Rahman says

Disaster Management and Relief State Minister Md Mohibbur Rahman has confirmed that deputy commissioners in flood-affected districts have sufficient relief materials in stock. The statement was made on Sunday during an inter-ministerial meeting on the country's flood situation held at the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief's conference room in the Secretariat.

The state minister announced that 21,700 tons of rice, Tk5.47 crore in cash, 65,500 packets of dry and other food, Tk4,000,000 for cattle feed, and Tk4,000,000 for baby food have been allocated to 18 districts to assist flood-affected areas. Additionally, 2,500 packets of dry and other food have been allocated for the parliamentary constituencies of Sylhet-3, Sunamganj-1, and Moulvibazar-2.

Minister Rahman emphasized that there is no reason for anyone to be without relief. “If we receive any such information, we will take immediate action. Additionally, calling 999 will ensure the delivery of food supplies. So far, there is no shortage anywhere,” he stated.

Furthermore, a total of 619 medical teams have been formed to provide treatment to flood victims. The minister assured, “During the tenure of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government, not a single person will suffer and live a substandard life. The amount of allocation will be increased considering the needs and requirements of the people.”
