Vedanta Patel said, 'The United States has steadfast support for peaceful assembly in Bangladesh. We have come to know that the internet connection is somewhat normal there. However, I call on the government to give the people the opportunity to use the Internet and social media without interruption. Through this, the citizens of Bangladesh and our United States will know important information.
In response to another question, he said, 'Those who want to protest peacefully, we definitely support them. However, since the matter is related to the US Congress, I cannot say anything specific about it.
