People no longer feel safe even at home, he says

BNP chairperson's advisory council member, Zainul Abedin Faruque, said that despite the suffering of the leaders and activists, the movement to topple the government will continue.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at the Human Chain program organized by “SwadhinataAdhikarAndolan” in front of the National Press Club on Saturday.

He said: “There will be a program to bring the government down, and everything will be taken into account. By fighting, Bangladesh's one-party rule will be overthrown, and the caretaker government system will be restored.”

“People are with us. The BNP will soon reenter the movement to topple the government,” he added.

Zainul Abedin said: “Autocrats use the state to stay in power. Mirza Fakhrul, we apologize to you. Even if the people support us, we cannot do anything solely for this country.”

He continued: “Even after so many years, the government was unable to compile a charge sheet for Sagar-Runi's murder. However, they discuss the rule of law and smart Bangladesh. People no longer feel safe even at home.

“Those who loot millions of dollars in the name of mega projects should resign. This is not the government of the people's votes,” he added.

Talking about the increase in commodity prices, he accused the government of keeping the “market syndicate” active.
