The price of a 22-carat gold bar has dropped by Tk630


The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (Bajus) has announced another reduction in gold prices for the third consecutive day.

The price of 22-carat gold has dropped by Tk630 per bhori.

Following the new reduction, the price for one bhori (11.664 grams) of high-quality 22-carat gold is set at Tk1,13,560. The previous price was Tk1,14,190.

This information was informed in a press release signed by Masudur Rahman, chairman of the Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee of Bajus on Thursday.

According to the organization, the price of acid gold has dropped in the local market. The new price has been fixed considering the overall situation, Bajus said.

The new prices will be effective from 4:50pm Thursday.

The apex body of gold traders changed the gold price for the eighth time in April.

According to the new prices, the price of 21-carat gold is Tk1,08,405, and 18-carat gold is Tk92,915 and traditional gold price will be Tk74,801.

Earlier on Wednesday, Bajus dropped the price of one bhori gold by Tk2,100 and on Tuesday, the dropped by Tk3,138.

Meanwhile, the price of silver remains unchanged.
