Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina Emphasizes Proper Implementation of Projects to Build Trust
In an interaction with leaders and activists of the Gopalganj district Awami League at Ganobhaban on Wednesday, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina directed officials to ensure the standard execution of various projects being implemented across the country.
Addressing the chairman and members of different local government units in Gopalganj, the Prime Minister stressed the importance of conducting the projects properly to avoid any misuse. She emphasized the need to build trust and confidence among the public by showcasing the quality of work undertaken.
During the discussion, Prime Minister Hasina touched upon the 12th National Assembly elections, highlighting the attempts by BNP-Jamaat to disrupt the electoral process. She commended the people for their spontaneous participation, making it the most free and fair election since 1975.
The Prime Minister acknowledged the challenges faced by Bangladesh, citing numerous obstacles and conspiracies. Despite these challenges, she pointed out the financial prosperity of the country, with citizens having access to food, medical treatment, and education. Sheikh Hasina mentioned the government's efforts to provide free medicines through community clinics and ensure an adequate supply of rice and clothing.
Addressing the rising global prices of essential commodities, the Prime Minister noted the impact on the cost of transportation, posing difficulties for those with fixed incomes. She proposed cultivating uncultivated lands to increase food production, emphasizing a collective effort to achieve food security. Additionally, Prime Minister Hasina revealed the government's plan to store food grains, with measures already in place in every district.
In conclusion, the Prime Minister highlighted the ongoing commitment to the welfare of the people, pledging to address challenges and work towards a prosperous and self-sufficient Bangladesh.
