Metro rail operation was suspended from 5:30pm on Thursday, citing unavoidable circumstances.
The last metro train left Motijheel station at 5:30pm, Dhaka Mass Transit Company Ltd (DMTCL) said in its official Facebook post.
Earlier, metro rail service was disrupted from 2:10pm as the authorities closed down operations from Pallabi to Shewrapara stations due to a fire incident near Mirpur-10 station.
