Rail communication on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route has resumed after 8.5 hours of disruption.
The train service resumed at 5:45am on Wednesday (October 2), said the in-charge of Gafargaon Railway Police Outpost Kartik Chandra Roy.
The delay was caused by the derailment of the power car of the Dewanganj-bound Brahmaputra Express and subsequent track repairs at Dhola Railway Station in Trishal, Mymensingh.
The Brahmaputra Express train derailed at 9:20pm on Tuesday while crossing Dhola Station, which disrupted train movement on the Dhaka-Mymensingh route.
