Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur has said that politics in the government has turned into a spectacle.

Parties without leaders, and without workers are participating in the elections. Opposition parties also want to become the ruling party again. The opportunity for middlemen and political leadership to be exposed has come before the people. It is time to identify who are the patriots and who are the middlemen," he said after a rally in Dhaka on Monday.

Gono Odhikar Parishad on Monday took out a protest march and blocked roads in support of the 48-hour blockade called by the opposition parties in the seventh phase demanding the resignation of the Awami League government, cancellation of the schedule and elections under a neutral government.

"The Awami League has turned politics into a gamble. People like Shakib get approval from the Awami League. How do people like Shakib and Ferdous gain approval from the Awami League? Some individuals, known for their unfortunate and unethical social behaviours, are engaging in shameless sycophancy and are being used by the Awami League."
Nur criticized the lack of trust in people's faith in institutions, saying: "Everywhere there is surveillance and politicization. The judiciary today is the most unjust with people. IG's brother, the chief justice's brother, is getting approval from the Awami League."

He said: "Do not be disheartened. Dictators have ruled in many countries, and they have fallen brutally. The government wants a Cambodia-like election, but there will not be one in Bangladesh. The people will reject that election. The struggle is between fascism and the people. You shouldn't support it."
