PM to address election rallies in Gopalganj Saturday

PM kicked off her election campaign on December 20
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will address election rallies in Gopalganj on upcoming Saturday.
As part of her election campaigning, the Awami League president will address two public rallies on that day.
She is scheduled to address a rally at the Govt Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College grounds in Tungipara in the morning and another rally at the Kotalipara Sheikh Luthfur Rahman Adarsha Govt College ground at noon.
A festive mood has been prevailing among Awami League and its front and associate bodies' leaders and activists, as well as the general public over the prime minister’s visit to Gopalganj district for electioneering.
Tungipara Upazila Awami League General Secretary Md Babul Sheikh said: “All preparations have been completed to make the prime minister's election rally a success. An estimated 100,000 people are expected to join the gathering.”
Kotalipara Awami League General Secretary Aynal Hossain Sheikh said that the party leaders and the general people are enthusiastic about the prime minister's visit to Kotalipara.
Awami League leaders informed that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is scheduled to address an election rally in Barisal on Friday. She will come to Tungipara after the public meeting that day and spend the night at her ancestral home.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been elected from this seat since 1986. So far, she has been elected as a member of parliament seven times from the Tungipara-Kotalipara constituency.
Earlier, Sheikh Hasina kicked off her election campaign on December 20 through visits to the mazars of saints Shahjalal and Shah Paran in Sylhet.
