Only the price is going up. While there is no improvement in service, this complaint against India's telecom companies is not new. But this time the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is going to take strict action against the telecom companies. If the network issue or call drop issue is not resolved within the next 24 hours, the telecom companies will have to compensate the customer.

It is learned that TRAI is going to launch a special investigation and surveillance system to check whether appropriate action is being taken by the organization if customers complain about any problem in the service sector. Notification in this regard will be published soon. This process will start from next October. In that case, if the network related problem is not resolved within 24 hours, the telecom company will be obliged to compensate the customers.

The issue will not be limited to call drops only. If it is found that 5G service is supposed to be provided in an area but the customer is not getting that service, TRAI will take action against the company. In such cases, companies will have to provide additional validity benefits to prepaid customers as a penalty. The accused telecom company will be obliged to give additional discount on postpaid bills for postpaid customers.

Note that all the private telecom companies have increased their recharge plans and bill prices but are not providing such services. Even if 5G data connection is shown somewhere, good net speed is not available there. Most of the time the call is cut off while talking. Despite thousands of such complaints, the telecom companies were indifferent about it till now. To solve this problem, TRA is entering the field with strict measures.
