Criticizes appointment of Hasan Mahmud as foreign minister

BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has said the government is destroying the education system of Bangladesh in a planned manner by introducing an anti-national curriculum.

The new curriculum is against the values and morals of the nation, Rizvi said at a press conference at the party's central office in Naya Paltan on Thursday.

“After the failure of the creative education system, the government is now restricting science education. A new curriculum following foreign countries will be detrimental to the nation. Additional device-based education of children and adolescents will increase criminal activities.”

He also said seven activists of the BNP were arrested across the country, two cases were filed and more than 150 accused were charged in four days.

“People who are blind by birth are also being accused in cases over explosives,” he added.

He also alleged that law enforcement is engaging in “terrible business” with arrested BNP leaders and activists. “They are unable to leave jail on bail without paying them money.”

Criticizing the appointment of Hasan Mahmud as foreign minister, Rizvi said: “Hasan Mahmud is capable of making strange comments, that is why he has been made foreign minister.”
