Adviser Mahfuj: Ensure security of minority communities

Interim Government Adviser Mahfuj Alam urged people to remain calm for the sake of a popular uprising and Bangladesh's sovereignty and emphasized the importance of ensuring the social security of innocent minority communities.

He said, “The government will soon take appropriate action against all traitors and terrorists."

He made these comments on Tuesday evening on his verified Facebook profile.

Earlier, Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan also urged people not to respond to any provocation, saying: "The government will take proper action against treason and terrorism. Everyone is urged to remain patient and not respond to any provocation."

On Tuesday afternoon, a lawyer named Saiful Islam Alif was killed in an attack by protesters demanding the release of Principal Chinmoy Krishna Das Brahmachari, the spokesperson of the Bangladesh Sanatan Jagaron Mancha, at the Chattogram court premises.
