National polls: RAB robust patrol team deployed in Dhaka

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has strengthened security measures in the capital aiming to keep the law and order stable and avoid untoward situations centering the 12th parliamentary election scheduled to be held on Sunday.

Along with that, a special robust patrol has been deployed in various important areas.

RAB Senior Assistant Director Md Arifur Rahman gave this information on Friday.

He said that the security system has been strengthened in the important areas of RAB-3 centring the national polls.

Apart from the regular check posts, special security check posts have been set up at the entrance to the capital.

Besides, intelligence surveillance has been increased in plain clothes.

Arifur Rahman also said that robust patrol has been deployed in responsible areas.

“We are keen to resist the miscreants and saboteurs at any cost to keep the situation normal and maintain public peace. RAB checkposts will continue to arrest criminals by setting up immediate checkpoints.”
