Dense fog: International flights disrupted for over 8 hours at Dhaka airport

Six flights land in Chittagong, Sylhet
Flight operations at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport were disrupted for eight and a half hours due to dense fog.
A total of six flights landed at Sylhet and Chittagong international airports as they could not land in Dhaka.
According to airport sources, flights from Sharjah, Muscat, Guangzhou, Doha and Singapore landed in Sylhet and Chittagong in the last eight and a half hours.
Mohammad Kamrul Islam, executive director of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, said flight operations were suspended from 12am to 8:30am due to fog. The flight began landing at 9am.
