134 Myanmar security forces sent back from Bangladesh

45 Bangladeshi nationals to return from Myanmar
Another 134 members of Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) and military personnel, who had sought refuge in Bangladesh due to the prolonged conflict between the country’s military and the armed rebel group, have been sent back.
Sources from the Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) and the administration said that around 7am on Sunday, four buses carrying the BGP and military personnel arrived at the Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) jetty in Cox's Bazar and they were repatriated around 10am.
These members of Myanmar's government forces were transported by a tugboat to a Myanmar Navy ship stationed at the sea.
On Saturday morning, a delegation from Myanmar arrived in Cox's Bazar by Myanmar Navy ship. Later, the delegation went to Hnila High School in Teknaf upazila.
Upon reaching there, they completed the necessary procedures to take back the BGP and military personnel.
Meanwhile, a ship carrying 45 Bangladeshi citizens who had served various sentences in Myanmar jails and are now returning home. The ship carrying them is still at sea.
Authorities said they would soon be transferred from the Myanmar ship to smaller trawlers to reach Cox’s Bazar.
