Suspects identified from video footage
Chattagram Metropolitan Police arrested at least six people as suspects over the murder of lawyer Saiful Islam Alif, said the Chief Adviser's office this afternoon.
The six were identified through video footage, said the press wing of the CA office, adding that the CMP has also detained 21 people for vandalism and assaults on police during clashes on Tuesday.
Six members of Awami League and the outlawed Chhatra League were also arrested with homemade improvised explosives (cocktails) in the port city.
Earlier, CMP said it detained 30 individuals overnight from across Chattogram over the incidents of yesterday.
