Injured admitted to Jamalpur General Hospital
Three people were killed while six others injured in a three-way collision between bus-pickup and CNG on the Jamalpur-Tangail highway on Friday.
The deceased are Anwar Hossain, 40, son of deceased Salim Uddin of Dhanbari upazila of Tangail, Shamsul Haque, 50, son of Abdus Sobahan of Chhontia area of Jamalpur Sadar, and pickup van driver Md Soza Mia, 40.
The injured are Jalal Uddin, Mousumi, Sharifa, Shahidul.
Jamalpur Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Muhammad Mohabbat Kabir said that a head-on collision occurred in the Titpalla area of the Jamalpur-Tangail highway. A pickup van, transporting vegetables from the opposite direction, collided with a Dhaka-bound "Shadnan Enterprise" bus. Following the collision, a CNG auto-rickshaw lost control and collided with the pickup van.
Two vegetable sellers Anwar Hossain and Shamsul Haque who were in the pickup van died on the spot. Pickup van's driver, Soja Mia, died in the hospital while undergoing treatment.
The six people including the passengers of the CNG auto rickshaw who were injured in the collision were admitted to Jamalpur General Hospital.
