Nasum takes two in quick time before rain stops play

Bangladesh left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed got one to turn away sharply to remove New Zealand opener Will Young and trapped Rachin Ravindra lbw in the 31st over to leave New Zealand five down for 123 runs in the first ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday.

But rain stopped play for a second time in the innings as the covers were brought on in the 34th over.

Young tried to up the ante by charging down the wicket but he failed to get to he pitch of the ball which turned sharply away evading the bat. 

Wicketkeeper Nurul Hasan Sohan took no time to ship the bails off as Young walked back after scoring a 91-ball 58-run-knock featuring four boundaries and a six.

Ravindra, on the other hand, had himself to blame as he failed to execute a sweep shot, missing the ball altogether as it thumped onto his pads. His couldn't open his account after facing two balls.
