The police conducted the search operation based on information provided by one of the accused in the murder, Siam Hossain, who is currently in remand under Kolkata CID police custody.
The Kolkata CID officials announced this finding in a statement released on Sunday.

Experts from the Kolkata Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL), present at the site, initially said that the bones are human. The search in the canal is ongoing.
