Warships escort MV Abdullah en route to Dubai

Bangladesh's KSRM group ship MV Abdullah was freed from pirates at 3:08pm on Saturday, Bangladesh time. Two nearby EU naval warships escorted the MV Abdullah shortly after the release.
The European Union has published the photo of MV Abdullah being guarded on the organization's website at 2pm on Monday.
A post on the official X page of EU Naval Force shows a picture showing MV Abdullah moving forward in the blue sea. On either side are two warships of the European Union Navy. At this time, three fast boats are also seen patrolling.
Operations are being conducted off the coast of Somalia, Aden, Aqaba, Suez, the Red Sea and surrounding areas under the EU naval operation Atlanta. Their primary purpose is to provide security to World Food Program ships and oversee anti-piracy operations.
The ship's destination is Al Hamriya port in the United Arab Emirates. KSRM Group said the ship could arrive there on April 21.
On March 12, Somali pirates hijacked the MV Abdullah ship in the Indian Ocean. The ship was released at 12:08pm on Saturday; that is, in the early hours of April 14.
As such the ship was released after 32 days of being held hostage. It is said that the ship was released with a ransom.
In 2010, another ship of the KSRM Group, MV Jahan Mani, was hijacked by Somali pirates. It took 99 days to rescue the ship.
