Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus today said that approximately 1,500 students, workers, and citizens lost their lives during the July uprising, with 19,931 others injured.

Addressing the nation on the 100-day milestone of the interim government, the chief adviser said, "Our government has been meticulously collecting information on each death. Arrangements for treatment have been made at 13 hospitals in Dhaka and various specialised medical facilities."

He described the ongoing documentation of the uprising's casualties.

"Every day, new names are being added to the list of martyrs—victims of the autocratic regime's wrath. We are committed to ensuring justice for each killing," Yunus stated.

The efforts to hold those responsible for the July-August killings accountable are progressing steadily, he added.

Yunus also announced plans to demand the extradition of deposed dictator Sheikh Hasina from India.
