Oli Ahamed demands to ban A. League as a 'terrorist organization'

Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) President Oli Ahmed (Vir Bikram) said, I want to say to everyone, after the fall of dictatorship, it is time for everyone to unite irrespective of caste-religion-caste-political identity. The registration of Awami League as a dictatorial and terrorist organization should be canceled and banned. 

He said these things in a press conference at the central office of LDP in Moghbazar of the capital on Thursday (August 8).

Oli said, Nobel laureate Dr. Best wishes to the new government including Mohammad Yunus. I wish him success in fulfilling the executive duties assigned to him. 

The former BNP leader demanded compensation, rehabilitation and proper treatment of the families of those who were martyred and injured in the student movement.

He called for the release and re-employment-rehabilitation of the sentenced and deported Bangladeshis in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Singapore etc. 

Ali Ahmad demanded that all the false cases against those who were victims of political revenge without proper evidence be withdrawn since 2009. He said that those who have been arrested and imprisoned should be released immediately.

Oli Ahmad said that the list of people kidnapped, killed and missing by the government, including former member of parliament Ilyas Ali, should be ensured and the people involved should be prosecuted. An independent commission of inquiry should be constituted. 

The former member of parliament said that all the accused and fugitives associated with the dictatorial government should be arrested on the basis of proper information, their illegal assets should be seized and arrangements should be made to bring back the smuggled assets abroad.

He said that no accused person should escape through the land, water or airport of Bangladesh. At the same time, arrangements should be made so that criminals cannot enter. 

Oli also demanded that Sheikh Hasina be brought back to the country and face trial as soon as a suitable environment is created. At the same time, he demanded to fix the schedule of national elections within the next six months and hold at least the next four national elections under caretaker government system.
